Summer is just around the corner so bust out your shorts, flip flops and lather on the SPF! Summer is also that time of year when ladies with long hair struggle with keeping cool while still keeping their hair looking great. As a recent long haired lady myself I have mastered several different summer styles. If you can master the art of braiding it will open up endless possibilities for great hair all summer long! Here is a step by step on one of favorite summer styles.
Step One: This is basically a twist on your basic french braid. If you haven't mastered french braiding practice that first before moving onto this style. Take a semi circle section off center from your part. Divide your section into three parts.
Step Two: Start a basic braid. With every crossover move you make take your pinky finger and grab a small section of hair to add to your braid. Take turns adding hair to each side while still making the braid crossover motion.
Step Three: To make the braid go to the side pull the left sections over farther than your right sections that you are adding to your braid. The braid should be curving down the side of the head.
Step Four: When you get to the bottom of the braid put it into a ponytail. You can also keep braiding and make sure to switch to a normal braid. Put an elastic around the end and smooth down any fly always!!!
Enjoy your summer with beautiful hair!!!!!
