BOHO Chic

by contributing stylist, Dalton

This Fall BOHO is making a splash on the runway and soon on a street near you. Nothing says Fall like effortless flirty hair! The BOHO hair craze is perfect for a fun no fuss season!

Boudoir Beauty!
Love that snooze button? Well then you are ahead in the game for this one! When you wake up in the morning (afternoon for some) simply comb through your mane with your fingers or a wide tooth comb and spray a volumizer at the root for lift. To add some extra sass, define the style with a large curling iron for interesting texture.

Rich Chocolate!
If you want to bring your long layer locks out of the summer doldrums simply go to your stylist for bayalage lowlights. This subtle kiss of deep chocolate color is the perfect way to bring some richness and depth into your hair.

Peace Out!
The easiest way to make a huge impact on your style without a complete overhaul is changing up your fringe. To rock the BOHO ask for s-layered ‘peaced’ out fringe.

Come Undone
Whether held together with a retro scarf or tied up with fun ribbon, rumpled buns, braids, and the classic beehive are fun statement styles. This look is the perfect way to show your friends a thing or two in the style department. To execute these seemingly tricky looks make sure you start with a firm base before you begin to tease for volume.

Loosey Goosey
The next time you are late to meet the gals and you don’t have even five minutes to get your ‘do’ under control go for the low loose pony.

Gather your hair as you normally would to begin a pony, only this time fasten the holder at the bottom of the mane allowing the pony to appear loose. My favorite way to personalize this look is to add a tied bow. Simply go to your local fabric store and pick up a few yards of ribbon in your favorite patterns.

The BOHO look is all about effortless understatement that makes a statement. To make this look your own go for a no fuss approach. The fewer steps the better!
